Street Fighter 6 Amiibo Review: Packaging, Scale and Beyond

We are going to make a full review of the upcoming Street Fighter 6 Amiibo figures and cards for each region, including packaging variants, pricing and beyond.

We had to wait a few weeks after their announcement to collect all the information, but now it is time to take a close look at the details of this new amiibo wave from Capcom.

Without further ado, let’s start this amazing review.

PACKAGING

Capcom introduces some changes to these new toys-to-life, bearing in mind its previous collaborations with Nintendo.

As we can see in the front of the packaging, the main difference is that the Nintendo Official Licensed Product logo is surrounded by a red rectangle, replicating the design used by Nintendo in the amiibo packaging since 2017.

The art concept is the same for the three packaging variants, including the language, except for the US version which adds the recommended aged text.

From left to right you will find the Japanese, US and International version respectively.

Another relevant change to highlight is that the Japanese version won’t include the Japanese pictorial writing used in previous co-branded amiibo series.

About the back of the cardboard, it is a mystery yet, because Nintendo could use the  same minimalist Compatible Software / Games design of the last two years, or maybe the Big N could change it for a more colorful design, coinciding with the new Switch 2 era.

The Cards set shows three completely different art works, which leaves us some uncertainties about the final concepts, particularly thinking about differences with the packaging of the figures.

But remember that those stock photos could be subject to changes, so we should wait until June to have more details about the final packaging concept art.

The characters included in the amiibo Card Starter Set are Luke, Jamie, Manon, Kimberly
Marisa, Lily, JP, Juri, DJ, Cammy, Ryu, Edmond Honda, Blanka, Guile, Ken, Chun-Li, Zangief, Dhalsim, Rashid, AKI, Ed, and Gouki.

Considering that there are 26 characters and the “Starter Set” only includes 22, we assume that additional cards may be on the way.

SCALE & SIZE

As we could see in the Nintendo Treehouse these fighters are bigger than the standard amiibo figures.

According to the e-Capcom site the scale of these new amiibo is 4.33 inches. You can also check all the details below.

Luke

H117 x W79 x D63mm (4.33 x 3 x 2.48 inches including pedestal)

Jamie

H117 x W83 x D76mm (4.33 x 3.2 x 2.9 inches including pedestal)

Kimberly

H117 x W78 x D99mm (4.33 x 3 x 3.89 inches including pedestal)

Regarding the card size, Capcom keeps the standard size for trading cards, 63.5 x 88 mm (2.5 x 3.5 inches).

PRICING

This subject is controversial right now, however, as we moved forward in our blog earlier this week, the effect of this upward trend is directly connected to the Trade War, particularly in the United States.

The following comparative table shows the pricing in US$ for each region:

Beyond the price, we consider this new wave of toys-to-life and amiibo cards a must-have, and we hope you can add them to your collection next June. Happy collecting!!!!
