Amiibo Prototypes at the Nintendo Museum???

Tomorrow, one of the questions that many of us bear in mind will have an answer, will there be amiibo prototypes at the Nintendo Museum?

Since August, we could watch some videos on the official Nintendo channels showing off some amazing areas of the Nintendo Museum. Among the memorabilia halls we can hardly appreciate the amiibo showcase, which seems to show all the amiibo characters.

But the big opening day will give the big audience the chance to know the answer about amiibo prototypes, but before that happens, I want to introduce some curious facts about them.

Since its announcement in 2014, we have seen some final amiibo versions in some conventions and events, such as E3, San Diego Comic Con or Paris Games Week among others, captivating the attention of fans worldwide.

The creative process is not limited to one prototype before its approval. Reality shows us that Nintendo develops four samples to create the final concept of every amiibo figure as we can notice in the following image with Wolf Link.

From left to right, we have the Digital Print Prototype, the Casted Mold Maquette, the Test Sample, the Final Without Paint Sample and the Final Product, giving us the opportunity to know part of the process before manufacturing our beloved NFC figures.

On the other hand, it is hard to believe that some of those coveted pieces appeared for sale on some websites from time to time.

Of course, it will not be a shock that some of those unique prototypes were given away to a selected group of people, but I am pretty sure that those exceptions could count on the fingers of one hand.

In my humble opinion, the legitimacy of those prototypes is questionable, considering all the high-quality standards that surround the Japanese giant.

Talking about prototypes, many unknowns remain, but tomorrow we knew if there would be amiibo prototypes at the Nintendo Museum as an important part of its recent history. What are your thoughts about it?
