Last Thursday, I thoroughly enjoyed the latest Super Mario Galaxy movie. Since then, I’ve wondered: will Nintendo launch a new wave of Galaxy series amiibo soon?
Interestingly, April 2nd marked the release of the long-awaited Mario & Luma and Rosalina & Lumas amiibo, reinforcing that question.

The film offers a seamless structure from start to finish, serving as a heartfelt tribute to the Mario franchise and Nintendo as a whole. It highlights the company’s unique ability to transcend generations and platforms—a notion of transversality that has driven amiibo’s success since their inception.
These figures bridge gameplay across eras while offering the added value of collectible artistry.
Speculating about new Galaxy amiibo involves more than merchandising for a movie or game; it touches a concept deep within Nintendo’s identity.
Thus, the question remains: will we see more toys-to-life dedicated to this series?
As we celebrate the 40th anniversary of the world’s most famous plumber, and as amiibo design and scale continue to evolve, Nintendo could plausibly announce more toys-to-life figures in the coming months.

In truth, The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is outstanding. It even surpasses its predecessor, opening the door to countless spin-offs across Nintendo’s diverse universes.
While only time will tell if new amiibo arrive soon, I strongly recommend the film—it provides a visual experience well worth your time.
