The breaking news about the partnership between LEGO and The Pokémon Company has left us speechless, but, what if…? LEGO X amiibo.
The collaboration between Lego and the Big N has brought to life some of the most popular franchises of Nintendo’s catalog.
So, it would not to be crazy to think about LEGO x amiibo sets.
I am not saying that it would happen, but the truth is that everything is possible, so, what if…? Lego x amiibo.
However, allow me to share a few personal thoughts on the matter.
First, the leak of a new Nintendo patent seemingly confirms amiibo support for Switch 2, opening a new era for amiibo.
Second, beyond the massive restock of amiibo figures during these days, the Power-Up bands are becoming very popular among fans, and they have the same functionality of our favorite toys-to-life.
Besides, I think that new Nintendo themed Power-Up bands would appear in the middle term, and it would be awesome to see other popular series with the band treatment such as Zelda or Kirby.
And maybe, the future of amiibo would be closely related to these powerful bands or another new NFC devices.
Finally, we must bear in mind that the Dane Giant created its own toys-to-life experience with LEGO Dimensions.
Considering the current collaboration between both companies, anything could happen, and it would be great to find amiibo sets with the characteristic LEGO shape and scale in the future.
