Masahiro Sakurai himself just announced the second wave of Kirby Air Riders amiibo.
Naturally, we’ve been anticipating this release ever since Nintendo shared details during last September’s Direct, confirming that new characters would be added to the Kirby Air Riders universe in amiibo form.
Of course, fan speculation skyrocketed after the display of a Meta Knight statue at Nintendo Live 2025 earlier this month alongside Kirby and Bandana Waddle Dee.
This opened the door for this charismatic swordsman to join the second wave of amiibo, raising the question of which other characters Nintendo would include and when the Japanese giant would confirm the release date for these new toys-to-life figures.
The new characters of the the second wave of Kirby Air Riders amiibo are Meta Knight & Shadow Star, Chef Kawasaki & Hop Star, and King Dedede & Tank Star.
The question we’re asking is whether we’ll eventually see all Kirby Air Riders characters as amiibo—and if so, when they’ll hit the market.
Only Nintendo holds the answers, but we’re confident we’ll hear more about this sooner than expected.
