Platinum Malzeno Amiibo Shakes Up the 2026 Collector Market

We’ve just added two of highest amiibo sales of 2026 to our database, and both are—surprisingly—the Platinum version of Malzeno. Why “surprisingly”? Simple: only 10 exist worldwide. Seeing two sales of such a limited grail within less than three months is just wild.

Both deals went down on Mercari Japan: one for ¥223,000 (approx.US1,438) and the other for ¥233,333(approx.US1,505). Amiibo continues to fuel massive demand in the collecting scene, so these numbers don’t shock us at all. In fact, we expect them to climb even further, with benchmarks like the Shadow Mewtwo or Hayakawa Aoi versions setting the pace.

Just days ago, we highlighted on our blog the chance to snag a Malzeno Red Metallic via Mercari Japan. That offer has now expanded—there’s also a Palico – Felyne Malzeno (Red Metallic) listed for ¥200,000 (approx. US$1,290).

Will the Platinum Malzeno amiibo sales stay at the top for 2026? Hard to say—we’re only halfway through the year. Remember, in 2025, a Link Ocarina of Time manufacturing error sold on eBay Europe for €4,250. The race is far from over.

What these sales do give us are reference points, especially for ultra‑exclusive amiibo with tiny production runs. They often spark debates among collectors trying to pin down approximate values.

With numbers like these, could we eventually see the Guinness record—still held by the 2014 Legless Peach—finally broken? Drop your thoughts into the comments; we’re genuinely curious to hear your take!
