From the depths of the Galaxy comes the news that the Metroid amiibo figure is back.
Today, the European Nintendo e-shops have confirmed the restock of this grail, a figure that has been one of the most pursued and hardest-to-find items for Metroid series collectors.
For me, the question was never when, but in what format this re-release will appear across different regions worldwide.
Why do I say this?
We must go back to 2023, when Nintendo began the massive restock of much of the amiibo catalog in anticipation of the Nintendo Switch 2.

One of the surprises was the restock of the Samus Aran amiibo for Japan and its corresponding international edition; however, the long-awaited North American edition appeared on the market a year later, in 2024.
So, with this news, everything points to the fact that we’ve had to wait two years to glimpse what is more than likely: a re-launch of the 2-pack in the American market.

This would mean a drop in the price of the original sets, which are currently highly valued in the secondary market.
Nevertheless, we must wait and see what happens in the short term, since with Nintendo anything can happen.
The restock of the Metroid amiibo figure completes the arrival of the long-awaited Metroid Prime 4: Beyond and will be a relief for the wallets of enthusiastic collectors and gamers.
Do you think the 2-pack will return?
